Do you know, Google is also a Dangerous Website?

 

 

It is a shocking but true news. Internet giant always wants high transparency between users and Google. Therefore according to Google's latest transparency report, most used search engine “Google.com” is also a dangerous website at some points.

 

What is the Main reason behind it?

Google is handling a number of malicious websites, which owns misleading and illegitimate content. Nothing is hidden from the internet users. We daily read about different scams and online frauds on the internet. It is happening through the malicious websites which has been designed by the hackers, to target people for installing malware in their systems.  Google released a note for users in their latest transparency report to protect themselves from the malicious activities. There is need to understand that “if Internet is a solution of every problem then it is also a home of problems.”

 

What is Transparency Report?

Transparency report is like a user manual for internet users. Google is publishing it to aware the people about internet threats. It is a detail report of all private and official websites, which includes threats ratio and malicious activities ratio. Google represented a list of malicious websites in their latest transparency report and it has included itself also in this list. According to Google, they are containing many malicious websites, which are redirecting users to other third party websites for installing malware in their systems.

Some top websites are vulnerable to cyberattacks and hackers are using these websites to trick the users for visit their scripted sites. Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability is one from them. Google is also releasing updates for “Chrome” browser to provide it more immunity against malicious websites. Have you ever experienced a red coloured pop-up on Chrome, which warns you against malicious websites? That is due to presence of security scripts in browser, which are capable to read and understand the signatures of hyperlinks.

 

Google’s Webmaster tool is very beneficial for those people, which are interested in legitimate business. Google will automatically send notifications to the user about his website’s issues. Then he can fix that issue for better business and services.  For a clean and legitimate website, Google’s Webmaster is very helpful.

 

Repeat Offenders- Google’s New Weapon to Fight Against Malicious Websites

Recently, Google has released a new security feature for its users. The user will see a big red security warning when he will visit that website which contains malicious applications, links and plugins. Google has named it "Repeat Offenders". All those websites will be flagged by Google as Repeat Offenders which are trying to be legitimate but in actual, spreading malware.
