Is it true?
Many Users are saying that this tool has been really hacked. But some are saying that it didn’t happened. So here are only two possibilities. One is, Team Viewer has been hacked really and second is that hackers have found any crucial vulnerability in the software, which is allowing them to access victim’s system. "There is not a single evidence yet, which could prove that Team Viewer has been hacked."
Reaction of Team Viewer on this Incident?
A report has been published by Team Viewer and they are saying that nothing is happened. Team viewer is safe to use, because we are using end-to-encryption for the security of users information. MITM (Man-in-the-middle) attacks and Brute Force attacks are not applicable on Team Viewer due to its security Configuration. Team viewer also said that we didn’t see any security hole in the software and in our server. So the news of “Team Viewer Hack” is not true.
Team Viewer said that users can use this tool tension free. Few days ago, two major data breaches have happened. These are MySpace Data Breach and LinkedIn Data breach. The money stealing incidents might be happened with those users which are using same passwords for all accounts. So users should choose a different, strong and unique password for their security. Enabling two-factor-authentication is a must for them. The report of Team Viewer is satisfactory because we often see that many users are using same usernames and passwords for all accounts. If a hacker got any one from these usernames and passwords, he might try the same credentials on other accounts to get the access.
