Kuala Lumpur - The Malaysian Airlines website was taken down Monday morning (UTC) allegedly by "Lizard Squad" group members, who were responsible for various infamous DDoS attacks on Tech Giants like Microsoft and Sony, in previous months.

The defaced page showed a message Greeting Lizard Squad and others. The page teased the Malaysian Airlines, which is already facing problems with recent catastrophic events leading to airlines being crashed and lost in the midst of the journeys. The Below page appeared after the hack:

However, the Website was restored by the Malaysian Airlines' System Admin but the website was again hacked by the hackers replacing the previous deface page with the below one:

Media reports said versions of the website takeover in some regions included the wording "ISIS will prevail".

A tweet followed thereafter from the official Lizard Squad Twitter page threatening the dumpingof data of the hacked accounts from the Malaysian Airlines Website.

Many mobile users trying to access the website have encountered Error 521, which means that the original web server refused the connection from domain provider CloudFlare.

In an official statement, Malaysian Airlines confirmed the hack attack and the users were being redirected to other page.

"At this stage, Malaysia Airlines' web servers are intact," it said, but added it could take nearly 24 hours to fully resolve the issue, which it had reported to Malaysian authorities. "Malaysia Airlines assures customers and clients that its website was not hacked and this temporary glitch does not affect their bookings and that user data remains secured," it said.

Malaysia is one of the nations in which the ISIS starts to collect numerous and troubling consensus, local authorities last week revealed they have detained 120 people suspected of linking with IS or planning to travel to Syria.
