Microsoft Make Security changes in Latest Version of Skype!

Microsoft has updated latest version of skype and make some security changes in it. Now Company will hide the IP address of it's users to protect them from cyber attacks and Cyber Trolls. Skype has activated this functionality by default in it's latest version.

First it was very easy to find the IP address of Skype users. It was very easy for the attackers to target the skype users, just by knowing their skype names. So many online tools and websites are available on internet, which can reveal the IP address of skype users just by putting their skype names. Due to this problem, many skype users have face harassment.

This IP disclosing process was due to a security flaw in Skype, which was found by researchers four years ago. This security flaw was allowing malicious users to obtaining the IP address of Target user. But now it is not possible as Microsoft make by default changes in it. Skype was aquired by Microsoft in 2011. It is very slow response from Microsoft because company was trying to make a different messenger using skype.

These security changes were very important, because Cybercriminals were using IP Addresses of skype users for DDoS Attacks, by exploiting them with the help of malicious scripts. Now you have to update your skype with latest version, if you want to hide your IP address from scammers.

Skype said “We want to provide secure services to our users. We want that experience of our customers should be great, thats why have introduced a new version of skype which has capability to hide the IP addresses of users. These are built in changes and users have no need to worry about this problem anymore.”

These changes are going to affect online gamers and streamers the most, because they were using systems of skype users for DDoS attacks, by knocking their rivals offline.
