Here Is How To Recover Data From a Malware Infected USB Drive!

Have you ever struggled with shortcuts and autorun.inf files of your USB drive? It is very irritated, when you have to copy some important files from your USB and it shows you shortcut. These type of situations occurs, when USB get infected from a malware. It is very common, when you connect your USB drives with public computers such as cyber café and school or college internet labs. Well, we can recover our important data from infected USB device and we can also fix that shortcut problems. Here is the tutorial:

Step 1:

First of all, you need to download “AutorunExterminator” file from the internet. Make sure, you are downloading a legitimate file, because a lot of malicious files are available on internet. You can download this file from here:

Step 2:

Now you have to install latest version of “.net framework”. If it is already available in your system then there is no need to re-install it. It will be better for you, if you will install latest version of this framework. You can install it from official website of Microsoft.

Step 3:

Now run “AutorunExterminator” and plug in your infected USB drive. It will remove all “autorun.inf” files, which are available in your USB and all drives of system.

Step 4:

In search box, type CMD and right click on the Command Prompt. You have to use command prompt as administrator therefore click on “Run as Administrator” option.

Step 5:

Enter the following command in CMD

Note: Here “i” is representing to drive. It is a drive letter. You have to replace this letter with your drive letter.

attrib -h -r -s /s /d i:\*.*

All your data will be in your USB drive. This is very common issue, therefore don’t be tensed. Just follow these steps and get your data back.
